Research group description
The life course epidemiology group is inclusive, multicultural, multidisciplinary and international and researches the origins and life-course trajectories of cardio-metabolic diseases and chronic multi-morbidities. We are using ethically collected human data from birth cohorts, national registers and international consortiums to integrate knowledge from

- Genetics epidemiology
- Epigenetics and metabolomic associations and mediations
- Environmental and social determinants
- Longitudinal modelling
to better understand the trajectory leading to clinical risk factors for obesity, type 2 diabetes and adult multi-morbidities.
